Abstract

Application of Experimental Methods to Increase Understanding of the Concept of Grade IV Primary School Students in Science Lesson. The purpose of this study is to describe data on: (1) student activity in science learning by applying experimental method; (2) improvement of understanding of science concept by applying experiment method. The method used in this research is a classroom action research with Kemmis n Mc design. Taggart. This research was conducted in the odd semester of academic year 2017/2018 at SD Negeri Wirukencana in grade 4 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, test and documentation. Based on the processing and data analysis, the results of this study are: (1) Student activity at the time of learning using experimental method that is in the first stage students pay attention to the initial experiments conducted by the teacher as evidenced by answering questions asked by teachers around the experiment. Then at the observation stage all the students recorded things that happened while observing the experiments performed by the teacher. The third stage of the students make a hypothesis according to the conceptual observation based on observation. Furthermore, in the verification stage students conduct experiments that refer to the LKS in a group way, the students divide each task on each member of the group such as the task as chairman of the group, secretary, moderator and other tasks in the experiment. After the students complete the experiment each group discuss or present the results of his group's observations in front of the class. The fifth stage is the application of concepts, the students are able to give examples of the alteration of changes in the form of things in everyday life; and (2) The application of experimental methods in general can increase the understanding of the concept of fourth grade students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the activity and student learning outcomes by using the model of Discovery Learning on the theme of objects in the environment around the subtema of the form of objects and characteristics. . This research was conducted in class V SDN Rancasawo 01 and the background of students who showed less activity in the learning process and the result of learning that still have not reached the minimum mastery criteria, this is because teachers often use lecture methods that tend to monoton and have not used the model of Discovery Learning. Assessment used in this research is pretest and post test technique to know student learning result, activity assessment and observation sheet to know teacher and student attitudes during learning process. The results showed an increase in the mean of the activity assessment and the results of the learning test. In the activity assessment the average value of cycle 1 is 58.57, while cycle 2 reaches 80% and cycle 3 reaches 90%. The learning outcomes in cycle 1 average value that is equal to 54,61%, in cycle 2 reach 80,38% and result learn at cycle 3 reach 91,79%. This shows that the use of discovery learning model can improve the activity and learning outcomes of students on the theme of objects in the surroundings around the subtheme of objects and the characteristics of class V SDN Rancasawo 01. Thus, the use of the model of Discovery Learning can be used as one of the learning models to be applied to Thematic learning with other themes and subthemes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect between instructional model Inquiry Learning and Direct Instruction to critical thinking skills of Junior High School children in accordance with gender differences between men and women. The method used in this research is to use the experimental method using a quantitative approach with the type of case study. In this study, the measurement tool is a questionnaire that the author quotes from the questionnaire Bambang Abduljabar. The results of this study are: Inquiry learning model in learning pemas can improve students' critical thinking skills without feared will be influenced by sex differences in students. The more student-centered learning of lead will contribute positively to the students' cognitive development, even giving the student a pleasurable learning experience.

Abstract

This research is based on the low understanding of the concept of Mathematics students in learning Mathematics material of multiplication operation in SD Negeri Nugraha Pelita. The problem is caused by the learning process that is still using conventional methods. This makes learning tends to be boring and students find it difficult to understand the learning materials that have been delivered, so that the impact of student understanding is likely to be low. Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model is very effective to be used as solution to solve the learning problem that happened during this time. The method used in this research is PTK method (Classroom Action Research). The subject of this research is the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Nugraha Pelita in the academic year 2017/2018 with the number of 33 people. Based on the results of learning and research analysis it can be concluded that the model of cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) can improve students' learning comprehension on Mathematics subjects of multiply counting operations in the fourth grade of SD Negeri Nugraha Pelita.

Abstract

The research entitled The Influence of Coaching And Discipline of Teacher Exercise on Vitar Ball Extracurricular Development is aimed to find out whether there is an influence between "Development and discipline of Sports Teachers towards Vocational Ball Extracurricular Development in SMP Negeri 2 Jatinangor Sumedang Regency." The research conducted is quantitative research. The sample used amounted to 30 people. Determination of sample using random sampling technique. Prior to data analysis, normality and homogeneity tests were first conducted to determine whether the data showed normal and homogeneous. Data analysis technique used is f-test. From the calculation of regression analysis X1 and X2 to Y in the regression coefficient value of Fcount = 6.37> Ftable = 4.21 can be concluded that H0 rejected and Ha accepted, thus in penelitin conducted there is a significant influence between Development and Teacher Discipline against Development of Extracurricular Voly Ball at SMP Negeri 2 Jatinangaor Sumedang District.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is understanding the effect of sport extracurricular activity and non sport extracurricular activity,and physical fitness level to the student?s self-esteem at SMK Cipta Skill Bandung. This study used expost facto method with casual comparative design. Population of this study is all of 150 students in total who join extracurricular in SMK Cipta Skill Bandung, and the sample using accidental sampling technique with 60 students at total. The instrument of this study is self-esteem Inventory (SEI) questionnaire to measure self-esteem score and physical fitness test Indonesia (TKJI) is used to measure physical fitness. Collected data is analized statistically using ANCOVA analizing technique sith significant range ? < 0.05. the result of processed data shows that the score of 1)self-esteem of the students who join sport ectracurycullar is better than non-sport extracurricular. 2) There is no difference of physical fitness to the self-esteem of student who join extracurrycullar. 3) the extracurricular activity and physical fitness makes impact simultaneously to the students self-esteem.

Abstract

The purpose of this study examine the influence TGFU and Cooperative learning model as well as motor skills to learn results of football basic skills. The learning model Teaching Games for Understanding and Cooperative learning grouped by high and low of motor skills. The method used in this study using an experimental method with 2x2 factorial design. The study was conducted in Muhammadiyah Kab. Garut junior high school. The population is all class VIII students of Muhammadiyah junior high school. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive random sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 48 students were divided into 4 groups. Instruments in this study include: (1) Barrow mototr ability test to measure motor skills, (2) Test of football basic skills. ANOVA analysis results indicate, cooperative learning and TGFU model give influence on the learn result the basic skills of football. There is interaction between the learning model and motor ability of football basic skills.TGFU learning model at a high level motor skills provide better influence to learn result of football basic skills. Cooperative learning model is better than the TGFU at a low level of motor skills to learn result of football basic skills.

Abstract

Writing is activity for exercise think ability become more than creative, productive, and expressive. Writing need diligence for develop essay design with the best. Writing skil have to training continual because writing not simple. This study have for question respond: (1) how planning writing skil persuasive essay use application team-assisted individualization with the style learning visual, auditori, and kinesthetic on the student class X SMAN 1 Rancaekek, (2) how implementation writing skil persuasive essay use application team-assisted individualization with the style learning visual, auditori, and kinesthetic on the student class X SMAN 1 Rancaekek, (3) how result writing skil persuasive essay use application team-assisted individualization with the style learning visual, auditori, and kinesthetic on the student class X SMAN 1 Rancaekek. This study tested the three cycle. Based on the study results, cycle one value persuasive essay is 55,4. The cycle two value persuasive essay is 68,5, and cycle three experience raise value become 80,2. So, the learning persuasive essay use application team-assisted individualization with the style learning visual, auditori, and kinesthetic on the student class X SMAN 1 Rancaekek can support the raise study achievement for student.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy of principals, teachers, in the character formation of students in primary schools. The research approach used is qualitative with case study type. The research instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection using in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. Research respondents are snow-ball. Data analysis technique using Creswell model (2014). Validity of data used criteria of credibility, transferability, dependability, and komfirmabilitas. The conclusion of the research is the principal's strategy in shaping the character of the students with the philosophy of leadership, exemplary, discipline, instructional leadership, quality leadership, as well as teacher empowerment and education. Teacher strategy is exemplary, habituation, and touch of heart. Parent and community strategies are effective communication and effective partnerships.
